Collect Data on Foreign Ownership

Across Canada many individuals and families are struggling to afford high housing costs, impacting both renters and first-time home buyers. There are many contributing factors, including the potential impacts of overseas/foreign ownership on our local housing markets (including vacant homes, real-estate speculation); but it's hard to say how much of a problem foreign ownership really is without actual data.

"I'm calling on Canadian governments - provincial and federal - to ensure they're collecting the necessary data to measure potential impacts of foreign ownership on local housing markets."
