West Coast Environmental Law Association harnesses the power of law to solve complex environmental challenges. They are transforming environmental decision-making and strengthening legal protection for the environment through collaborative legal strategies that bridge Indigenous and Canadian law. West Coast also manages the Environmental Dispute Resolution Fund ("EDRF"), which provides grants to British Columbians who have organized to protect their communities and their environment — but who need some legal help.
Gen Squeeze has received $29,239 in grants from the EDRF (2018/2019) to help develop and implement a legal strategy for interventions in the Saskatchewan, Ontario and Supreme Court of Canada reference cases regarding the federal Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act. Generation Squeeze is strongly in favour of pricing pollution.
We’re proud to receive support from the EDRF! If you need legal assistance on an environmental issue in British Columbia, check out the EDRF page here.
