Avoid transparency for voters by hiding the fine print
A snap election leaves parties less time to prepare comprehensive platforms. It does not remove their responsibility to explain the promises they make.
Voters deserve to know what’s being offered, what it will cost, who will pay, and what trade-offs it requires. When those details are missing, we’re being asked to judge a headline rather than a plan.
Every party should publish the evidence and assumptions behind its commitments, explain how it will deliver them, and be clear about what remains uncertain. A short campaign makes accessible, honest information more important than ever.
