Parkland Conference: Alberta at a Crossroads
Gen Squeeze Founder Paul Kershaw will join an amazing roster of speakers for Parkland Institute's 27th Annual Fall Conference
November 17–19, 2023 on the University of Alberta campus and via livestream
Alberta is at a crossroads. The status quo is not sustainable politically, economically, or ecologically. The decisions we make from now on will determine whether we join a worldwide movement towards building a more just future or if we go backward. This conference is about ensuring Alberta moves forward. It is about dreaming big and making things happen. It is about how we push for change and envision a province that is just, equitable, and sustainable. It is about how we look to what others outside our borders have been doing, while also finding ways to support and expand the work that many among us have already been doing to build a more just province and world.
By bringing together thinkers, writers, and activists from Alberta and beyond, “At the Crossroads” will be a space where we can learn from each other and begin shaping the Alberta we want for us and for future generations.
For the conference program, visit the schedule and presenters pages. Full conference registration includes all conference sessions, Saturday lunch, and coffee and pastries on Saturday and Sunday. If you wish, you can also register to view the livestream only. Online registration will be open until noon on November 15. A limited number of registrations will be available at the door.
